Where to find public toilets

There are nine public toilets in Islington:

  • Seven automated, fully accessible toilets, open 24-hours a day. They are located at:
  • Holloway Road
  • Seven Sisters Road
  • Highbury Crescent
  • Highbury Fields
  • Newington Green
  • Islington Green
  • City Road

Note. Five of these toilets are currently closed because of misuse, but we are working hard to bring them back into use.

  • One accessible toilet with an attendant at Chapel Market.
  • On weekends, you can find a pop-up urinal at Cowcross Street, outside The Hope pub.

There are three Changing Places toilets that are larger and have special equipment, like hoists and adult-sized changing benches. They are located at Sobell Leisure Centre, Brickworks Community Centre, and 222 Upper Street.

You can find a list of over 50 public toilets on the Toilets4London app. This includes toilets in council buildings like the Town Hall and libraries.
