Working with us
As part of our partnership, we will agree a time with you for a monitoring visit. The visit will be around an hour and a half. It will give both you and us confidence that you are meeting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory welfare requirements. We also consider the quality of practice and provision, looking at strengths and any areas of improvement.
Working with us means you benefit from the advice and expertise from a range of specialist early years colleagues. Partnership working can form part of your marketing strategy, acting as a selling point for parents who want to know that you are making best use of the support on offer.
Working with us may also mean you:
- have the opportunity to work with our most vulnerable children from the Priority Early Learning (PEL) panel that support families in need
- can provide emergency childcare
We also offer:
- telephone and email advice from specialist early years colleagues
- access to childminder groups in children’s centres including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) workshops
- childminder briefings every term to receive important updates and information
- access to our childcare and early years continuing professional development training
- access to safeguarding training and information updates
- access to a team of qualified early years Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) for advice and support for children with emerging SEND concerns
- the opportunity to offer free early education places - find out more on our early years funding pages
- the chance to take part in the Healthy Early Years London programme
- a Register of Good Practice to get practice ideas from other childminders
